How often do you reflect and give yourself credit for your accomplishments? Thanks Stevie Jay for reminding me of it and allowing me to share it with others.
I think this is a very interesting idea. The nature of this profession it seems is predicated on being "chosen" but that can be disempowering when we are not in fact chosen. In a sense we have chosen ourselves, we put ourselves up there or out there to engage with the world on whatever scale. Indeed there have been times when I was not chosen and that didn't always feel good. But when I was chosen, then I was seen as the right fit for the gig, that does feel good when you get the gig you auditioned for. It feels like a victory. the challenge I think is not to lose equilibrium either way
Thank you for reading/watching and thank you very much for you comment. It is well received and raises a great point. We must keep our equilibrium in the face of any direction. I also enjoy your point that "in a sense we have chosen ourselves." I'd suggest that there is no "sense" in that statement; is is simply "we have.." because in reality we must choose ourselves time and time again no matter what comes our way; we keep choosing ourselves and carrying forward.
